I'm back

I've been missing for quite a while. I have a new post in the works, with all the political commentary I orginially intended for this blog, but it needs a photo or two.

While I work on getting those, have another picture of a sweet car you'll never own. It's the Koenigsegg CCXR Edition, only four of them were ever built, and they were done in unpainted carbon fiber. I don't care how ricey that is, this car looks absolutely wicked, and I love it.

Didn't they learn anything from GM?

Apparently, the rumor mill over in Europe is turning out articles on Porsche's alleged planned revival of the 550, and it will apparently be "similar to" the VW Bluesport concept (which can be seen at the bottom of this post along with the original 550). It will have a 1.6 liter turbocharged flat four with somewhere around 200 hp.

Then comes the problem. VW and Audi will both have their own versions of it.

In all my life, this is the first time I've ever heard of a badge engineered Porsche. THIS IS JUST WRONG! Didn't they learn anything from GM's pre-recession habits of selling the same car under four different names?

This is a new low.

I can't think of anything to rant about tonight (which is rare for me), so while I think, have a picture of the best looking car in the world (and they were all sold in Hong Kong, go figure).
